Delhi generated 14 times more biomedical waste in July than May: Govt

The quantity of COVID-19 biomedical waste generated in Delhi increased by nearly 14 times from 25 tonnes per day in May to 349 tonnes per day in July, Environment and Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority said in a report submitted to Supreme Court. Delhi's coronavirus tally stood at 8,895 on May 15 and had exceeded 1.16 lakh on July 15.
