Google-parent Alphabet's revenue falls for the first time ever
Google-parent Alphabet's revenue fell for the first time in the company's history as advertising revenues took a hit due to the pandemic. The Sundar Pichai-led company's ad sales fell 8.1% year-on-year to $29.9 billion in the June quarter, while overall revenue slipped by 2% to $38.3 billion. The revenue from its Google segment stood at $38 billion, down 2% year-on-year.
