Years of negotiations failed: US firm on suing Xiaomi for patent infringement

US-based company InterDigital has filed two patent infringement actions in Delhi High Court against Chinese electronics company Xiaomi. InterDigital said it took the decision after years of negotiations failed. One complaint involves infringement of five of InterDigital's cellular 3G and 4G patents and the other involves infringement of three of InterDigital's High-Efficiency Video Coding patents.
