21 people die in Punjab after drinking spurious liquor; CM orders probe

As many as 21 people have died in Punjab allegedly after drinking spurious liquor, following which CM Amarinder Singh has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident, officials said on Friday. Police have been directed to launch a search operation to crack down on spurious liquor manufacturing units in the state, according to reports.
