Apple buys startup that may turn iPhones into payment terminal for $100M: Report
Apple has acquired Mobeewave, a Canadian startup whose technology could help transform iPhones into mobile payment terminals, Bloomberg reported. Apple reportedly paid around $100 million for the startup and has retained its team. As per its website, Mobeewave's technology allows merchants to accept payments with a tap on the client's card on the back of their phones.
